Fishbone will share the stage with Living Colour at the Brooklyn Bowl, NY on Nov 6, 2018.
Brass Against will be the special guest.
Fishbone and Living Colour played several times together through out the years : the famous show at the Ritz in NY July 19, 1988. In Seattle & Portland and in Santa Monica (+ Public Enemy & Stetasonic for the last one) in dec 1988. In Paris in June 1993, this time with RATM & Tool as the opening acts ...
The last time was at Afro Punk 2016 in Brooklyn with also a Super Jam of Fishbone Living Colour & Bad Brains were they played many classics of the Bad Brains.
"Tuesday, November 6th is the midterm election day in the US. In order to encourage music fans to get out and vote, the first 200 concert goers that come to the show and have a photo of themselves outside their polling place with hashtag #iVoted displayed, will be admitted free of charge. This is part of the #iVoted campaign, which was launched earlier this year with the goal of increasing voter turnout numbers."

DO NOT MISS IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The line up is FISH, Chris Dowd (back in Fishbone since the beginning of the year), Norwood, Dirty Walt, Angelo and John Bigham. The one of the Give A Monkey A Brain Tour seen at Lollapalooza 1993 and in Europe for two tours in 1993. Fishbone has not played in Europe since 2014.
After having been gone almost 25 years, Chris Dowd was back on keys and trombone this last Saturday, January 27th 2018 at the House of Blues in Anaheim (CA), for a special show case closing the NAMM. Just one year after the return of Fish Fisher (drums) and John Bigham (guitars), this latest comeback makes the probability of a full reunion higher than ever. Guitarist Kendall Jones, who was present at NAMM, is the last original member still missing. The current line up is thus the same one that did the Give a Monkey a Brain... tour back in 1993-mid 1994 (including Lollapalooza and euro tours with opening acts Tool or the Bad Brains).
Only three songs where played on the 27th (Bonin' in the Boneyard, Skankin' to the Beat and Lyin' Ass Bitch), but expectations are building up for the upcoming mini tour in the Bay area and greater LA. (see tour dates section).
FishboneLive.org seizes this opportunity to thank all the exceptional individuals who, these last 25 years, made it possible for Fishbone to live up to the high standards set by the original members, and especially, in no particular order, John Steward (drums), John McKnight, Anthony Brewster, Dre Gipson and Paul Hampton (keys), Jay Armant, Padre Holmes and Curtis Storey (RIP) (horns) and finally, Rocky George and Spacey T (guitars). Familyhood forever.
Fishbone is "Skankin to the Beat" on the west coast this February! And with Chris Dowd, original trombone and keyboard player, back in the fold, this will be a huge party.
So, don't miss this epic five show run in California:
- Thu Feb 1 - Berkeley - Cornerstone Craft Beer & Live Music
- Fri Feb 2 - MillValley - Sweetwater Music Hall + special guest The Crooked Stuff
- Thu Feb 8 - Ventura - Discovery Ventura + special guest LAW

Angelo is NOT doing the US tour of Celebrating David Bowie
After a very successful run in Europe where Angelo Moore literaly stole the show in front of medused sold out audiences, it has been announced that Angelo would not be on the US leg of the tour.
As put by Angelo himself: "Celebrating dAvid Bowie in Europe was a bLast, i was able to "Do the Bowie" like I've always imagined it ever sense i was a kId, it was dream come true. i wouldlike to wish the North american artist on the Upcoming Tour Much Success. unfortunatly i will Not be with you.................. For all sad stories, a good side: this means that Angelo will be playing with Fishbone on conflicting dates ;-)
"A rare unplugged studio performance of 'Slow Bus Moving', Fishbone's take on emancipation of black people in the US. It was my favorite track from their Truth and Soul album. Sometime in the summer of 1988, when they were touring the Netherlands, I invited them to play in our tv show 'Fa. Onrust'. I asked them if they could play Slow Bus, and though they hardly played it in an acoustic set up, they granted my request."
