Bottles To The Ground the record label of Fishbone, owned by Fat Mike, has just announced on Instagram and Facebook the Single Release on Wednesday 5/10 of "Estranged Fruit" by fishbone and feat NoFX : El heffe plays trumpet and Fat Mike does backing vocals on the track.

Last minute change as Fishbone had their planes cancelled. "Flight were cancelled due to Tornado warning in Texas" as it was announced by John Steward on Facebook. Angelo Moore & Brand New Step was planned to fill in for Fishbone as they played on March 16 in Austin for SWSX 2023 @ C-Boys Heart & Soul. BNS did the day before a hell of a show and Angelo, who was in the middle of the pit, made dance the audience on the Brand New Step"s anthem song.
BUT FINALLY Mark Phillips managed to catch a plane to Austin. So Angelo and Mark played a short set at Noise Co Showcase at Mohawk in Austin for SWSX 2023. Sunless Saturday and Everyday sunshine were performed as a duet : Angelo on vocals and sax and Mark Phillips on guitar ! Then Brand New step did a set ! What a night !
Fishbone has just released the song All We Have Is Now. It is the first single from the upcoming EP that is produced by Fat Mike of No-FX (that will be released in 2023).
The song has been written by Norwood Fisher.
The line-up on the song is Norwood Fisher, FISH, Angelo Moore, Christopher Dowd, Walter Kibby, and Mark Phillips (on guitar).
Even if John Steward is in the video, it is FISH on drums.
All We Have is Now is the first release of a studio recording since Intrinsically Intertwined (2014). The new song is the first studio recording with Chris Dowd since his return with Fishbone in 2018 and its first since 1993 (30 years ago !!!). Even if we don't know if Chris played or not on the Nuttsactor 5 demo tape from 1994. Of course Estranged Fruit is from 2020 : but it was live : Fishbone played Estranged Fruit @ Week-End at Fatty's, Sept 12, 2020.
Fishbone has just released the music video of "All We Have Is Now". It is the first official music video since Unstuck (from Intrinsically Intertwined EP) in Sept 2014.

Fishbone will be opening for the first 6 shows of the Summer Of Green Tour 2023 of Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
The Les Claypool's band had been in hiatus for 20 years.
Do you remember that Phillip FISH Fisher was supposed to do their whole 2002 tour but could only make somes as he had to leave because he began to play for Justin Timberlake. He played drums on two tracks of the Purple Onion studio album released on 2002 : 5."Whamola" VIP ticket are onand 8."D's Diner". On the latest Norwood and Lonnie Marshall played bass on it too. John Steward is still Fishbone's drummer.
