This DVD was filmed at the Music Box, October 25th 2005 where Los Lobos, Unwritten Law, Ozomatli, Blackalicious, Fishbone & The Ziggens performed. The DVD contains the live performance of Fishbone covering Date Rape, and three jams featuring Norwood, Angelo, Stephen Perkins, Eric Wilson,... The music video for Date Rape is included as a bonus on the DVD. Still Stuck In Your Throat, Fishbone's 8th record in 20 years is scheduled for release in Europe on October 16th 2006, with a month-long tour support visiting 8 countries, from UK to the Czech Republic, and from Holland to Spain. Still Stuck In Your Throat was recorded in 2005 and 2006 with David Kahne, who worked on Fishbone's 80s recordings and many other major artists such as Sugar Ray, Sublime, kd lang or the Bangles. It features 12 songs: Jackass Brigade, Let Dem Hoes Fight, Skank n' Go Nutts, Party With Saddam, We Just Lose our Minds, Frey'd Fucking Nerve Endingz, The Devil Made Me Do It, Cheyenne Star Forever Moore, Behind Closed Doors, Premadawnutt, Face Plant (Scorpion Back Pinch) and Date Rape (the Sublime cover). It's going to be one big party when Fishbone plays the last night of the mythical New York CBGB which has seen perform about any rock act these last 30+ years. CBGB has to close down by the end of september due to lease problems and will probably reopen at another location. If you're in the NYC area on September 28th, make sure to catch that show and buy tickets in advance.
Ter A terre Records, Fishbone's european distributor has announced the release of Fishbone's latest studio effort, titled 'Still Stuck In Your Throat'. The release is scheduled for October 15th 2006 in France and October 30th for the rest of Europe. US and Canadian release dates are still unknown. Sources close to the band say this album is capturing Fishbone at their best. It was recorded troughout 2005 and 2006. The tracklisting is still unknown, but one might expect studio recordings of "Cheyenne Star Forever Moore", "Primadawnutt", "Date Rape", "Face Plant", "Party With Saddam" and even maybe "Loose Our Minds" the Graal of many a Fishbone soldier.
Fishbone will be playing 30 dates across Europe (and even the United Kingdom !) in October and November 2006. The first dates are coming in, others to follow soon in Spain, Italy, Holland and Belgium.
After the crash of the box where FishboneLive.org was generously hosted, I moved the site to a professional hosting company. Some of the data has not yet been recovered (mainly the photos and the most recent .torrent files). Some features have yet to be reconfigured, like automatic show and news e-mail notifications. Brady, out of Spain, Arne and Mariam from Belgium are invited with a friend to the Tilburg Fishbone show next Sunday. They were the closest to the correct answer, which was, as far as I know, 6 drummers : Fish, Foley (standing in for a few dates in 1993), Clint Cameron, James Grey, Dion Murdock and Wet Daddy. Congrats to the winners who will have to pay me a beer and write a cool review here.
