I've seen Fishbone so many times I've lost count. But this last show was one of the weirdest shows I've seen them at. Let me just say, that they have played at Canes several times before . . . and maybe that's why this experience was so out of the ordinary.
They had 2 opening bands. First one I've seen before open for Fishbone. They're a local San Diego group, and I'm bla...
Canes (CA) - 30 Dec 2005 [review written 01 Jan 2006] I would like to mention that I meant to go see Fishbone Thanksgiving Weekend here at San Diego's House of Blues, but I did not. . . Why? Being a poor starving musician, I could not afford Ticket Master's ticket fees + the House of Blues house fees. If they want to charge $40 for a ticket, then just do so. Don't say that the tickets are only $20, and then charge all of these fees on top of that...
Canes (CA) - 09 Jul 2005 [review written 11 Jul 2005] I was sick with the flu at this show. Eventhough I felt like passing out on the floor through most of the show, I still had a blast. I also brought 2 friends of mine who just didn't like Fishbone (on their albums), but both of them were blown away at this show.
