This show was off the chain as usual. The bone brought it as always. Haven't seen em since the Greek w/Primus and they were restricted to half a set at that one, even though the did play the entire first ep, which was really cool. The stage was really cool with a huge led backlight-signage thingy that displayed the logo and looked really awesome. I wish they had more visuals like that at more o...
Damn, Fishbone BROUGHT IT!! Unfortunately the crowd didn't, for some odd reason. I mean, they did, everyone was plenty into it, but when the encore came everyone went kinda limp. Struck me as odd because they were watching the same show I was and we just got rocked. I know I was yelling my head off but whatever, the show was awesome! Tits and all!
This show was awesome! Small venue and sounded like the walls were gonna blow apart, but it was great. DUI Friday and Lemon Meringue were definitely highlights for me. The 'bone were off the hook as always. Really dug this one and glad I got to be a part of it.
Not sure what happened here. "Festival" was a joke. I waited around for Fishbone, but I don't think they ever showed up. I finally gave up and left. I read afterwards that a lot of artists didn't show up. Apparently the whole thing was some kind of scam. It was real cheezy, that's for sure. Oh well, whatever.
Great show as usual. The stage was about four feet high and I was standing in front of Norwood, which put me right at ear level with his 2x15 cab. Massive amounts of thud beat were hitting me in the chest, which was really cool, a whole new way to hear the band and a great bass lesson. My particular vantage point caused the rest of the band to be put asunder by the thunder, but they were ...
This show was on fucking fire! Awesome. My eyeglasses got wiped away in the frenzied manic rock n' roll energy, but it was worth it. Goodbye old friends. Walked out blind as a bat and happy as a lark. Bad Brains also kicked major ass. Orgone was really good too. Hope Fishbone plays here again!
A quickie but a goodie. Tight-assed security threw out a couple of happy peaceful "moshers" to which Angelo quipped, "I thought this was a free concert!" Couldn'ta said it better myself. Fishbone rocked it. Good for your earhole.
The show, of course, was awesome as usual, what little of it there was.
The venue, I'm sorry to have to have say, sucked ass. Bar management booked too many acts, 2nd band were stage hogs and Fishbone to had to end their set half way in. Other than that though, it was great.
What a great film. Not only have the 'bone given me inspiration all these years musically, but now I see we also fight the same fight. One of not letting go of artistic integrity for creature comfort. Keep rockin' 'bone! You're my people!
Although I've been listening since Reality came out and they've always been consistently one of my faves, I never got to a show until this night. Don't know why, just didn't. Now that I've experienced what I've missed, I'll be back as much as possible! When you take the quality of the songwriting and combine it with the sheer power and tightness of this band you get a show that is of a caliber tha...
