Chaud Bouillant !
I had a great evening there with Oscar. But then again... who wouldn't ? ;/)
I think this was the first time Fishbone performed at an open-air festival inside Paris. The place was packed! There was possibly twice more people attending that show than the ones they usually perform at indoor venues....Their promoters should seriously think about renewing the experience. Inside the parisian c...
The Hangar is along with the Trabendo one of the best venues Fishbone got to play around Paris these last five years. The show was sold out though some people had arrived that night from the south of France in hope to get tickets! This shows how popular and appreciated the band remained. The crowd at the Hangar was very responsive which brought intense moments of stage frenesia througout the two h...
Superb Show indeed, Mr Everlastbe ! It was great hearing all these songs from "In your Face". Walter Kibby back on the vocals and trumpet sure makes a whole difference from what we've heard these last 5 years! The band had a great amount of energy to give that night but the crowd was not trying to push things further...
This is the second time I go and see the band play in that ...
Unforgettable night in paris. What an outstanding performance! If you plan to go and see them on this tour, one advice : Beware of explosives ! The audience in paris went totally nutts and kept on adding kerosene to what was consuming itself already on stage at the speed of Halley. That roaring and raging fire soon became uncontrollable&nbs...
What else can I add ? Thumbs up to François who succeeded bringing Infectious and Fishbone on a big parisian venue. Yeah, short set indeed but the memories of that show are now stucked in my mind as a really enjoyable moment. The opening with "unyielding conditioning" was a good choice and reminded me the version they played at the Nouveau Casino two years ago... From past ...
The return of the Funk repertoire with Cholly and Bonin' was a great thang !
I loved Angelo's Soul repertoire on singing better than the JackAss/Faceplant tunes but its just me... Very intense show with great moments to catch throughout the whole. Hard to describe in a way what was going on because People were crowdsurfing all over the place. Scuba-divers all aboar...
Great Musicianship all show long!
Rythm/Horns section incredibly tight. Norwood gave some really juicy Bass playing. Pure slap.
John Steward drove the whole ship with fury. Very little time for him to rest considering they played two hours and half.... But the man is strong and heavily muscled. Ter a Terre will release actually a calendar 2007 call...
It's high time I get this review done before my memories be split in Oblivion
While arriving at the Nouveau Casino, I had met Arno already on the way down.
The two Johns were indeed relaxing at a terrace so It felt weird shaking their hands and saluting both of them by the same "Hi, John!"( myself being another third "John")
AMAZING CONCERT!!!
THIS WAS U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E. FISHBONE SHOULD PLAY FOR AS MUCH JAZZ FESTIVALS AS THEY CAN NOW.

Very great Show in Paris! The Band played for 2 hours and a half ... Norwood after the "encore" said to the crowd they could keep on playin' for longer time but they had to stop because of the curfew. Anyway, the audience got enought time to apreciate a Set which I'll describe as one of their Freshiests, Funkiests, Tightests, Psychedeliests and Funniests I ever got to assist to OVER THE LAST TEN...
I first got to see Fishbone Live In PARIS at the ElyseeMontmartre on the 7th of July 1992 and the first thing I remember is the gig starting with 2001 Space Odissey soundtrack...the crowd yelling....and then each member of the band steppin' on stage.... one by one. I remember Fish reaching stage riding a sort of small children's scooter, wearing a huge clock around his neck ( the one Flavor flav...
