Review from the Nuttwork's archive

Intense is about all I can say at the moment. I'm not sure if there's words in any language to describe how else I felt. Opened with Subliminal Fascism and ended with Party at Ground Zero. In between, some songs I recall were Bonin, AIDS & Armageddon, Cholly, Pants, Ma & Pa, Just Allow, Shakey Ground, Sunless Saturday, Unyielding Conditioning, Wish I had a Date, Behavior Control Technician, Give It Up, Suffering, One Planet, Karma, Alcoholic, Freddie's Dead, Monkey Dick, and maybe some others I'm forgetting.

I was up front for the beginning, up until BHT, when Norwood dedicated the song to me ("this goes out to that guy in the Free Mumia shirt"), when I hopped up on stage danced for a bit then swam a couple times into the crowd. Would've gone for a third time/duration of the song had Mr. Steroid (the name I refer to most bouncers by) not stopped me. Didn't meet Debbie (have no idea what you look like, and the description posted to the list was vague at best), but met some rad cats up front. Some dude hadn't seen Fishbone since '92 or '93. Another cat said he was going to sesh up with the band after the gig. And just a general posi demeanor from my fellow soldiers in the pit.

The only complaint I had was it should've been at a different venue in the metro Detroit area. The Magic Bag had more seats, chairs, and tables than any dancefloor of sorts. And for someone like the 'Bone, that doesn't quite work out best.
