One of the best 'bone shows I've seen in NYC and I've seen plenty.

My son Steve (he is 18 and has seen 5 'bone shows) and I met Angelo outside the club before the show and shared a moment with him. We talked about The Last Upper art project. He explained to me what the personal poem he put on there meant.

The two opening bands were excellent....Boombox Repair Kit mixed ska with latin and then Tristate Conspiracy mixed ska with rockabilly. The both killed it and got the crowd fired up for Fishbone.

At about 10:30 Dr Madd Vibe hit the stage as the sound check was winding down. The two hour show was epic and while I cannot recall an exact set list I was really happy to hear tunes like, A Selection, Question Of Life, Simon Says The Kingpin, Cholly,I Wish I Had A Date, If I were a...I'd and of course the ones you expect....Bonin In The Boneyard, Party At Ground Zero, Alcoholic (with a Suicidal Tendencies tune mixed in !) Unyielding Conditioning (opener), Ma and Pa,Freddie's Dead, Give It Up,Skank and Go Nuts, The Suffering, Forever Moore, Lyin Ass Bitch.

It was a perfect Fishbone show...the room was HOT and Sweaty, the people were crazy and friendly, the crowd moshed, skanked and surfed. My 18 year old son surfed the crown and lost his cell phone. There was that moment of technical difficulty that always seem to plague a 'bone show but what do you expect when Angelo is crowd surfing while singing his ass off with about a gallon of perspiration on the stage.

I'd rate this in the top 3 Fishbone shows I've seen in NYC and I've seen them at Tramps, Wetlands, Limelight, Temptress( the boat), Knitting Factory CBGB's ...you name it.

This was a great night!

Great show from Best Live Band on the Planet ! I traveled from Nova Scotia (Canada) with my girlfriend , I met Norwood, and Angelo outside the venue . I asked Angelo for a picture and he gladly agreed, I was wearing a Canadian T-Shirt, and Rocky noticed and we kicked a conversation. The show was awesome, the Band played as only FISHBONE can ! Overall a Fantastic trip !
