Fantastic show last night at my favorite venue, the Knitting Factory. There is no barrier between the audience and the band, so it was a perfect place for Fishbone to play.
The band was on top of their game, making their playing seem effortless. Merv was a little out of it, but he did, according to Angelo, do his first solo stage dive ever! Dre and Angelo were all over/in the crowd until they lost the wireless mic somewhere in the crowd.
The energy of the show was fantastic and the setlist was a nice mix of old and new, and this may have been the first time they actually performed their version of Changes judging from the setlists that I have seen.
Overall, a great show!
*the setlist is just from memory, so if I am wrong please correct it. Also, I had to leave during everyday sunshine so please add anything on if they played more!
They ended with PARTY AT GROUND ZERO, at which point Norwood, Merv and Dre left the stage. Then, Angelo, McKnight, Wet Daddy and Rocky busted out a hilarious improv (at least I think it was an improv) that I would call IF YOU LIKED THIS SHOW, BUY SOMETHING BLUES.
