Although advertised as having support from The Inspector Cluzo they weren't there which was a bit of a disappointment as I was looking forward to seeing them as Wolfunkind were excellent. This meant that support was from Gangs of Feral Youth - who I didn't like. sorry.
Anyway Angelo came on stage and did two poems and then seemed to expect the band to come on but as he said to someone off-stage "is someone not ready?". So he did another poem.
This was the first time I had seen Dre Holmes who enjoyed himself alot. But not as much as Angelo who was on fine form crowd surfing on a couple of occasions even though the crowd was fairly small. He also seems to have improved on the Theremin.
At the end of Sunless Saturday, Norwood took off his bass and walked off stage. The lights went up and that was it. end of. no encore.
I was a bit disappointed with the gig but this may have been due to me not being at the front for the first time at a Fishbone gig (since the first one) or because I was trying out some ear plugs to help protect my already deteriorating hearing - and Norwood's likes his bass sound BIG!
Still a good gig and worth the 160mile round trip.
