Review by Elfw on Nov 11 2006

It had been a quite a while since I had seen Fishbone. Hedon is middle sized venue and it was not sold out.

The support act was OK, at least the first song. Unfortunately they were not a trio. When the singer appeared my interest in the band dropped. to the bar for a beer

Fishbone started around 10:30 and they played until well over twelve o'clock. A...

AMAZING!!!

Wolfunkind: Didn't know exactly what to expect, but they did suprise me in a positive way. They rock and groove as hell, and they are damn funny too.

Then we had Fishbone: Of course I was really excited to see them again, after a weird festival show last summer. Although they did play good then, I had the feeling it could be much and much better. And this time they did it right. Damn, what a blast! Great setlist, good classic songs too! They really had it going on on stage. I took some friends who were all a little bit into Fishbone (read: "they're ok"), and after the show I believe they all were convinced that this band is badass. They're still red hot!

After the show: Had a little chat with every one in the band. Really cool people. Angelo is like the most cool and down-to-earth guy and really takes the time to talk to you. When the venue was about to get closed Angelo invited me and my friends upstairs in the backstage. But after like 2 minutes the crew of the venue came to tell us that we had to leave. So we asked them to join us down town to go and have a drink. The whole crew (including the ter a terre people) came with us to drink beer/orange juice/or whatever in the bar. They enjoyed themselves big time and Rocky George is the most hilarious guy ever! The DJ even played Aids and Armageddon because the guys were there. Stayed there until like 4 AM (that's when the bar closed down). We went, to go sleep. Few guys of the band (Angelo, John Steward, John McKnight and Curtis I believe) moved on to search for another bar. Norwood went to go to sleep. They had to get up next morning at 5 or 6 AM....

Crazy night!
