Review from the Nuttwork's archive

The show itself was nothing special. John played the best I've ever seen him play. Walt's voice seems to get stronger and stronger every show and Spacey was definitely on fire. Highlights were Pressure, Karma and the best version of Swim that I ever heard. When asked why they play the same fucking songs every fucking night. I was told that they don't rehearse so they play what they know. How sad.

Got to the show early with TeddaBonehead, talked to Angelo outside the club for a couple of minutes about the recent changes and then he blew us off. Guess he didn't want to talk about bad things at the moment. He confirmed that the band would be reforming with new members in the future but said that he had some personal creative things that he'd like to work on. I asked if he'd consider Kendall as a replacement for Spacey, but by the look on his face I don't think that will happen in a million years which is definitely a good thing in my eyes.

Ted and I found our departing buddies Walt and Spacey and proceeded to the band's mobile home for a little chat that lasted for the next 2 hours.

There's not much that I care to add to what's already been said in previous posts. I'll only say that once again miscommunication has bitten the firm ass of Fishbone. When pressed Walt agreed to never say never when it came to rejoining in a couple of years. That to me was encouraging because Fishbone (if that's what the next incarnation is called) cannot be Fishbone without Walter Kibby.

p.s. During a solo last nite Spacey segued the Star Spangled Banner into TAPS. How fitting.
