What a city.......Toronto!!! Probably the most exciting city in Canada!! Toronto's energy level and downtown scene is almost like New York City....almost!!

Anyway, the Toronto fans packed Lee's Palace to await the arrival of the Nuttsanctified Spaceship from the planet NUTTMEG.......touchdown time: 11:40pm. Outta the Nuttsanctified Spaceship came the crazed-looking, meganutt...

Just got home from a real quick-ass show in toronto. Can't remember the set list, (should take a pen and write them at the time). Still highlights included Ma&Pa, Party at Ground Zero, Freddy's Dead (with a great spoken word intro by Angelo), Alcoholic, Riot (although only two minutes long), Nuttmeg World (really rocked out), Shakey Ground (with a long and rather neat dedication to Eddie Hazell by...

The Toronto show was THE BEST!!!! It was packed, loads of great crowd energy, and I have never seen Spacey T rock out so much. The opening band was pretty good too (can't remember their name) and one of the guys came out and did an impromptu jam with Fishbone towards the end of the show. I didnt get a setlist either but remember they also played Housework, The Suffering, Behaviour Control Technici...

Review from the Nuttwork's archive

Toronto was just as amazing as everyone claims. The opening act was a rap act that sort of reminded me of De La Soul..think they were called Splize or some similar. The crowd was so revved up for that show, it reminded me of old shows in NYC at the Ritz. Angelo was really angry at that show and it gave the show a harder more hardcore angry energy. It was great. There were three dolled up girls giving out free lollipops, at one point some guys were at the back of the stage throwing the lollipops out to the crowd. People were getting clocked in the head. Tito (the tech guy) thought that this was dangerous and that the audience would start throwing the lollys back at the band. Just as he told the guys to stop throwing the lollys, Norwood said something about the free lollys and doncha know the audience started throwing the lollys on stage. After the show there were lollys everywhere and I saw some people picking them up off the floor and eating or saving them....eeeewwwww!

Norwood gave a tribute to Left eye...so sad.

I danced in the middle of the audience for awhile, but Tina Callaghan with her feminine wiles kept attracting some unsavory characters, so we moved to the wall and stood on chairs. I was hardly even dancing and I fell off my chair with my clumsy ass self and got like 5 or 6 huge bruises. I am now running around telling everyone they were mosh-pit accidents. (So it doesn't hurt to stretch the truth, I could try to look a little better than some bumbling wallflower!). I met some cool list members at the Toronto show...J. Wo. and Ted da Bonehead. Both of whom are soooo nice! (Hey guys!)

A big ScottManning to the guys who stole some t-shirts from the merch booth....may instant karma bite you in the ass by next week. The Toronto show was also funny cause the crowd wouldn't let ANgelo surf. Everytime he jumped out, they would throw him back on the stage in seconds. Tito would try to throw him back out, but he would richochet right back. It was like volleyball. Then there was this girl who was going for the Nicole Kidman/Moulin Rouge look. She was pretty...skinny with long red hair and black gloves up to her elbows. She took of her shirt and Norwood told her to get up on the speaker and dance. She was dancing in her black bra, and flashed the band. (She had really big nipples considering her breasts were so small, but hey I digress) I thought she was cool cause she revved up the energy of the crowd, but Tina and I thought it was odd that she was dancing on her knees. She wouldn't stand up for some strange reason, although there was plenty of room, and I think standing would have made her little exotica routine more effective, but alas she remained on her knees. I thought maybe that's just the way they strip dance in Toronto, but Tina more logically guessed that maybe she didn't have any legs. Who knows, aye? (Adopting the local lingo)
