Apr 13 2002 @ Warp 9 Fort Frances, ON

I just wanted to drop a note about the show last night. It was in the very small town of Fort Frances (5000) in Canada and it was a very different crowd than I have ever seen at a Fishbone show before. This town is in the middle of a downtown revitalization so this club (Warp 9 - which is awesome) is getting a lot of attention. The mayor even came to the show. There was lots of women and the crowd was a lot older than you would normally expect. We made the 275 mile trip from Fargo and it was well worth it. DOA opened - I knew about DOA but have never seen them previously. They were awesome. Straight punk with some political flavor. I introduced myself to Keisha and bought a hooded sweatshirt, which is cool. Of course Fishbone was great, but seemed a little miffed at the lack of participation. There were very few people up front for the whole show. Angelo joked with the crowd about taking notes in the school of Fishbone.
