Ok, this isn't exactly a review, but I had to put it up for this show. The Cactus has since shut down, but when it was around it was known for their horrible sound system. So there I was, 21 years old, and on fire for Fishbone. I had seen them previously at The Merritime Hall where I met Walter. This show I had shown up extremely early for some reason (around 5 in the afternoon) and the show didn't start until about 9. There I am in the Cactus and the place was dead at 5. I heard some talking behind me drinking my beer at the bar, and here came Angelo and Walt. They hopped on stage and just then I realized that they were all set up already. The rest of the band came out and I immediately ran over to the stage. After a bit of sound check, they straight up played Monkey Dick and Blackbox...and I was the only one there. It was seriously the greatest experience that I have ever had with a live show, and band. I love you guys from the bottom of my heart and there is no one like you and there never will be....much love to the Nuttmeg and the one planet people yall you better give it up....
