Awright, I can't hold it back any more. I'm gonna have to keep it brief, because otherwise I would end up writing a damn dissertation about FB's place in modern music.

Let's just say that they remain the baddest band in the world. Period. Truly amazing in every way...this might sound over the top, but anything I could think of to say at this point in time could not do complete justice to what I witnessed a few hours ago.

Definitely the best FB show I've seen, and without a doubt the best concert I've had the good fortune to attend.

Lessee...it was Spacey's b-day and the motherfucker was just goin' OFF. What a freak: like a combination of Adrian Belew, Eddie Hazel, and Dr. Know. Scary Spacey Spice.

Steward: This man is badass. Pure power and precision. (I did notice Walt and Dr. Moore cuing him on "Pressure"...) He flat out rocks. I happened upon him after the show and all I could say to him was "Hey Steward, you're fucking HOT" to which he replied "Hey bro!"

What keyboard player? Trombone? Angelo soloed his ass off, conducted and fiddled the Theremin like a wizard, and his voice is ever-more sensational (Ray Charles soul with a Cab Calloway gone aggro), Spacey filled in every bar with pure tasty treats, Walt is like a punk rock Freddie Hubbard or Don Cherry, Norwood a flesh and bone bass machine...precise, frighteningly masterful, and spot-on. Not to mention resplendant in a lovely purple robe, matching violet flower head dress, and one of his normal underwear boxers.

New song: "Frey'd" What the hell is this? An ass-kicker, that's what. In the "Rock Star"/"Primadawnutt" vein, punctuated by Dirty's trumpet blasts. Norwood intro'd it by saying "This next song is from the album we haven't recorded yet..." Well then, let's go!

What else: They might've gotten dinged for playing over 1am, but by my watch they only ran over by 5min or so (they came on at 10:45)...you shoulda seen Angelo surf to the fence that separates the underage/of age section, climb up it, and sit atop and belt out "Sunless" and "One Planet"...Norwood gave the finger to some jackass in the audience, and then at the end of the show (the lights had come up while they were still playing), while Spacey and Steward were doing a noise meltdown for the end of "Party," 'Wood was yelling at someone on his side of the stage, then he turned around and walked off the stage while giving the "rock and roll" hand sign over his head !

Rock and roll. No shit. The best band in rock today.
