This club was a lot smaller than last night and the mixer was only like 12 channels, so I was thinkin' about just dancin instead of tapin. I decided to just put the thing by the T-shirts since Gadston didn't care. I didn't expect mucsh, cause you usually gotta be closer up to get a strong signal. And I usually have to fool with it a lot too make sure I have a good level and change discs ...

I know it was four days ago now, but I thought I would write my impression of the Baltimore show at The Vault. It was incredible (as usual)! It always seems that the most recent Fishbone show is always my favorite, but this one was exceptionally tight. They had more of a mix of old and new (Reality and after) songs. My friend Kevin and I got to speak to Spacey T before their set and he warned us that it would be a great show and he was right. He added some great new guitar especially on "Housework." Angelo just tore into every song ferociously. I don't know how he keeps up that level of energy for every song, every night. Dirty Walt was as cool and laid back as Angelo was in your face. And I think Norwood was even funkier than usual which is saying a lot. My only problem with the show was the curfew in Baltimore. It seems like the band didn't know about it until right before the encore. I wish one of the opening bands could've been cut since there were three of them instead of Fishbone not getting to play the full encores. When I saw a set list, I realized what I missed - at least 6 more songs including "Godzilla," "Maskeraid," and "Deep Inside." But I am by no means complaining that I didn't get my money's worth. The show exceeded all expectations, even after having seen them 10 times previously. I also got to meet Rob, Amber and Gaston so here is my shout out to all of them and a question - Did you guys (or anyone else at these shows) notice more of a sense of unity within the crowd? Kevin mentioned how it seemed that we didn't have to deal with the usual number of assholes that you find at any show. And there was a really good vibe at the place. I guess the P.M.A. really took over. I like it! I'm glad to hear that the rest of the tour went well. I am jealous that the New Yorkers got to hear "Pray to the Junkiemaker" and "The Goose" and I didn't. But that just gives me something else to look for on the next show.
