Well, I checked out the K'zoo show last night, and it rocked! I asked Angelo what they're gonna do with the new material (they didn't play any of it, incidentally), and he said they're still waiting for a record deal so they can record it. The first band seemed to be a little more local than I expected, and I wasn't really up for their country hippy vibe. But, a few people got into it. Snot wasn't really my game either, but I know my guitarist is gonna love 'em at the show in Ann Arbor tonight. Angelo started the set with his poem, "Dawtaw" (daughter). It kinda scared the hell outta me, and it didn't say much for his daughter's mother. After that, he recited the Maui poem. Then they kicked ass. It appears that Bigham is back, and Brew is playing the valve trombone to fill out the horn parts. The guy with the braids was up there playing guitar, as well. One thing I need to mention is that I finally got to hear them play Lemon Meringue and Unyielding Conditioning. We got them to come back out even though the bar was closing down. They did a short version of a song that I can't remember right now, and they did Swim. Everybody was happy. I got his poetry book, and he stamped logos & his tattoos all over it. Lotsa fun!
