Fishbone again put on an awesome show yesterday here in Atlanta. They played a few cuts from their new CD which will be released May 21. (They had stickers and beach balls promoting this.) The set included:
Chim Chim's Badass Revenge Warmth of Your Breath (Doughnuts,Cigarettes, Coffee) Beergut Alcoholic So Many Millions
Angelo was still using a black...
I was also at the Midtown Music Fest in Atlanta. It was fantastic!!
I thought the songs from the new album were live, however, I didn't particularly care for the slow version of So Many Millions. Nonetheless, Fishbone has given me back the sound that was lacking in their last album.
As for the members - they are looking and sounding fabulous! At the end of their set, Joi (pronounced Joy), an Atlanta native who recorded with Fishbone, did a number that was out of this world. Go Joi!
I did get a chance to speak with a few members of the band and my special Fishbone friend passed off yet another of their T-shirts. It's bright orange - front reads Knock-Knutt the Pit Monitor says....I'll Kick Yo' Ass! and it has a picture of a mean ass smoking fish ready to kick ass. The back has the original Fishbone Logo (small) and Team Pit Support and it reads "we kick em down & pick em up". It also list all of their tour dates thru June!!!
That's all folks.
