Seems like quite a few Familyhood members were at this one. Reality Of My Surroundings tour, Bad Brains supporting, should have been amazing. But maybe I was looking forward to it a bit too much. This is the only Fishbone gig I've been to that was a disappointment to me. Both Bad Brains and Fishbone sounded like ropey heavy metal bands, worst I had ever seen either of them. Metal = not what made either band special. Perhaps they were missing Kendal? Sound mix in The Academy was awful, just sounded like sludge coming through the PA. It was usually loads better than this at the Academy. Do any of the others who were there agree?
