Hi,
My review is based on my ooooold memory. That was my second gig. I was a Fishbone fan since I saw them on tv in "Les enfants du Rock" and old music show. I immediatly loved them. I liked the way they were. Different from all the other black band I knew. They were doin' the kind of music I liked. They completely crazy and their music too. Now about the gig. I want alone. None of my friends wanted to go and see a black band doin' white stuffs. Ridiculous but that's the way it goes. Even today in 2005. So I was alone. The gig began with an Angelo Moore arrivin' on stage shouting and immediately divin' into the crowd. I was completely suprised. I was thinking "That guy is crazy. Cute but crazy". ;-) The whole gig was great... full of energy. Everybody was doin' "poggo". And I stayed aside afraid a gettin' knocked in the crowd. I completely enjoyed the show on stage. The horns were great... the whole band was wonderful. It is an unforgettable memory.
Well, the Ancienne Belgique is one of the major club in Brussels. Cap around 2500 and it was full! I was at the time helping out an intern doing interviews for RockAGogo, the most famous rock show on belgian radio (interestingly enough, he now has a record company that distributes Fishbone...).
